"Feet up!" Liam said as he pushed Elena higher on the swings. "Hang on tight! Don't jump off yet!" Liam still didn't know that he was Elena's father, but he'd been spending a lot of time keeping her entertained. Now that Liam's gang was dispersed, it was safer to travel the streets. The General hadn't tried anything for weeks. Liam had been working on being 'good,' but every now and then he would spend time on his own and brood.
Erik had secretly been following Liam and the others all week. Before that, he'd been getting upgrades at the asylum. He could talk and act like Erik. The General was hoping he could get inside some heads with this trick.
Erik sat down on a bench in the park and raised his newspaper to cover his face. When the time came, he would attack, and he didn't care how many children got hurt in the process.

Syrena watched as Liam pushed Elena on the swing. Over the previous weeks he really impressed her. He was a perfect gentleman to her and an amazing father to Elena, though he didn't know about that yet. She had it planned though. She had seen the change in him and decided to tell him that very day. She was excited, but nervous. There was no knowing how Liam would take the news and for that, she was worried. Would he get mad? There was a chance that telling him would ruin all that they had worked for, but he had to know.
Mason wasn't a help either. Once he knew that Liam and her were dating, he asked her repeatedly when she was going to tell him. He was so happy to have his brother that and didn't want to keep secrets from him. He was happy when she told him Liam would find out that night.

"Stay close by us, and do not leave our sight," Liam told Elena, letting her go play with the other children. Liam joined Syrena on a bench and grabbed her hand. "Want me to push you on the swings?" he chuckled. "Elena's making some friends and I didn't want to cramp her style."
Erik lowered the paper a little bit and looked back and forth between Elena and Liam. He realized he could use the child to get Liam to do anything, even surrender.

Syrena glanced over at Elena who was playing tag with some other boys and girls. "She's making friends easily, guess she got some of my gifts," she said softly. She looked over towards the swings, tempted to take Liam up on his offer, but a little boy took the last empty swing. "Guess it's a no for the swinging. I don't want to be the playground bully and push him off." She teased.
Elena was running away from another little girl when she tripped and fell right in front of the bench Erik was sitting on. She slowly got up, unsure of whether she was hurt or not. She wiped off her dirt covered hands on her pants and looked up at Erik. The newspaper was hiding him from view so she turned around to go back to her friends.

"I have something better in mind anyway," he grinned, leaning in and kissing her neck. He was about to get more into it, when I heard someone whistle sharply. He looked up and saw Erik standing there, holding Elena tightly. "Erik...stop. Please stop. Your fight is with me."
"Surrender and the girl lives." Liam agreed with his hands up. He walked forward, fell down to his knees and waited for instructions. Erik tossed the girl to the side and punched Liam in the face. Erik destroyed the monkey bars, leaving onto the four poles sticking out of the ground. "The General wants you dead." Erik picked the dizzy Liam up and slammed him down onto the broken poles.
