Liam looked over at Elena and flicked his head in the direction of the tunnels. He didn't want her becoming a pawn over the General, or worse, dead. Erik had once been employed by the general and it hadn't been a bad gig. "Look Sarg, I don't want to be a slave and I really don't wanna see you torture any of my fellow mutants anymore. Look what you did to Hunter!" he said, pointing at the cyborg, who'd mysteriously stopped fighting when the limo had pulled up.
"We're not going to join you," Liam said, keeping an eye on Ryder. "We don't have to fight anymore. We don't want to fight anymore." Erik sighed and waved his hand at the General. "Just get on with it Sarg."

"We don't like to think of it as torture. It's really experimenting. We can make a new generation of mutants with what we learn, some mutants like yourself don't understand that. You get in my way and I am forced to deal with you. We can't have to mutants running amok, you steal and hurt the humans."
"Besides, look what I created with your mutant genes. Oh Syrena, come join us please." Syrena walked around the corner and into the light, stopping on the other side of the General. She was the most gorgeous girl on the earth. Her skin was so smooth and a light shade of tan, it looked almost like porcelain. Her eyes were a stunning bright blue that seemed to lock your gaze. One could get lost in those eyes. Her hair was a breath-taking golden color, falling down to her chest in slight waves. She looked more like a doll than any human.
The few alert guys in the room stopped and stared, unable to think. "Meet my daughter, Syrena. Beauty, ain't she? Funny though, that's not her gift. She was born normal, like me, but with technology I was able to fuse her cells with mutant cells. She now has the power of persuasion and she has rapid healing, not to mention a little secret power." The General grinned evily at the last part.
"Think of what I can do to help you if you join! Wouldn't it be better than dying on this floor for nothing?"

Liam thought she was absolutely beautiful, but he wasn't as entranced as Erik was. Liam looked around the room and noticed that all of the men seemed to be trapped by her gaze. "Syrena..." he said, thinking aloud. Finally it clicked. "A siren, like in mythology," he chuckled. "Wait!" Liam said, being the only coherent male mutant in the room. "Why are you offering this? You hate us. You want to destroy us...but you turned your own daughter in to one of us?" Liam wasn't understanding the bigger picture.
"Why dont you come with us Syrena?" Erik piped in, the glazed look still in his eyes. "We could really use your company." Liam had already been forced to work for Erik. He wasn't about to become someone else's handy man. "I'm sorry General, but your secret weapon doesn't work on me. I'm taking Erik, Elena and the rest of the mutants, and we're leaving. We'll kill you if we have to."

"What use are mutants if they aren't on my side?" said the General.
Syrena was impressed by Erik and Liam. She didn't know why her powers had no effect on Liam, but even Erik seemed to do a fairly good job at resisting. Most men were unable to speak to her, the few that were, usually got jumbled and lost their train of thought. And most men just wanted to do whatever she said. To have someone speak to her normally, though his eyes had that glazed look, but still know what he wanted, was impressive. She liked that.
"Maybe we should just let them leave, father," said Syrena. Her voice was like silk, flowing smoothly through the air.
"No! They are either with us or without us. Guards?!" About twenty guards had their guns trained on Erick, Elena, and Liam. The other men mutants didn't look like they would follow the three out, not as long as Syrena stayed there.

"I, personally, would love to go with your General. I would be your daughters 24/7 guard of course," Erik said, stepping forward. Liam was too shock to even respond at first. "What the hell are you doing?" he hissed at Erik, reaching out to grab his arm. Erik chuckled and told Liam to escort Elena out of the building. "I'm going to go with the General now. I'm sure we'll meet again real soon."
Erik slipped out of Liam's grasp and took few more steps forward. "Hello, i'm Erik," he said, introducing himself to Syrena. Liam decided that Erik must be using himself as bait. He'd be a distraction so that the others could get away. Liam grabbed Elena's hand and slowly started to step backwards.

The General chuckled softly, he knew it would work on Erik. He was about to order the guards to shoot the others, when he felt his daughter's hand on his arm. "Leave them. You got one." Her powers were much better when she came in contact with whoever she was trying to persuade. The General nodded and ordered everyone to the institute.
Syrena was very intrigued by Liam, but she truly admired his ability to stand up to her father, not many people could, it was why she let them go. She watched Liam and Elena leave before turning to Erik. "Hello Erik, I'm Syrena. Welcome aboard." She was usually watched by a guard or Ryder, but she would much rather have Erik as a guard, someone new. Ryder wasn't very interesting in her opinion.
When Liam and Elena were far away from the warehouse she stopped. "Are we just going to let him go with them? Erik is powerful, if that girl keeps him under her spell, then we're in trouble."

"Glad to be on ship captain," he said, saluting her. "A mighty fine vessel. A real beaut," he smiled, completely smitten with Syrena. "Shall we go to the limo then? I've always wanted to ride in one of those!"
"There's something about that girl. She's not evil, like her father. She can be saved and I think Erik's the one that can save her. We need to take care of ourselves in the meantime. Find the others..."

Syrena chuckled and walked out to the limo, getting in. Her father looked slightly grumpy, but she knew that would pass. "So you want to be my daughter's personal guard? And why should I let you? I think you'd be more useful as a front man. You seem to like the action more." He knew that a lot of men wanted to get close with Syrena for nasty reasons, to use her. It was the one thing he didn't like about her powers. Even though he didn't treat her the way a father usually treats a daughter, he was still protective of her. She was in fact, extremely useful.
"Erik get the girl on our side? Liam, he was like her puppy." Elena didn't think Erik would do anything but listen to whatever orders the girl gave him. Yes she didn't think the girl was evil, but she was the General's daughter, she'd listen to him. "Alright, where are the others?"

"No one can protect your beautiful daughter like me. I can stop anyone in their tracks. They won't even be able to get close to her. I know your worried about her virtue and everything, but don't forget, i'm a gentleman," he said with a nod of the head. "Most of the time at least."
"You'll see. I think we'll be friends with this Syrena soon enough." Liam tried to follow some sort of footprints or track, but there was barely anything to go by. "I don't know. My brother could've led them anywhere. Probably a candy store...can you read anyone's thoughts?"

General Hammond didn't really trust Erik, but he had a point. Erik would be able to stop anyone in their tracks that tried to hurt Syrena. He would probably need the extra protection for her since he told Liam and Elena about her. "Alright. But I see or hear that you so much as touched her in the wrong way boy and you will be taken care of." The last words sounded deadly. He wanted Erik to know he wouldn't hesitate to kill him if he did anything with Syrena.
When they got to the institute the few guards, General Hammond, and Ryder stepped out. "Take her back to the house to sleep." He kept one guard in there with the two to make sure nothing happened. This would be a test for Erik.
"No nothing ye--wait, I hear your brother. Is there ever a time he's not thinking about taking off Izobel's clothes?" Elena shook her head and tried to look past that to see where they were. "They're in a house, on Maple Avenue."

"Of course Captain!" Erik reassured the General as he stepped out of the limo. "I'll take the best care of her. Anything she wants i'll give her," he grinned. Erik then shut the door of the limo and told the driver, in a fancy accent, to drive on. "So how was turning into a mutant?" Erik asked Syrena.
"I don't know what hes gonna think about when he finally does see her naked. He'll probably malfunction and explode." Liam was now able to focus on his brother's thoughts and they quickly found them in a house on Maple Ave. "Not a bad hidey hole I suppose." Mason was just assigning two mutants to watch the door when Liam and Elena walked up. "Well hey guys! Glad you found the place. Uh...where's the one guy?"

"Didn't feel a thing," stated Syrena. She glanced over at the guard that was sitting by them, staring at her. She leaned over and placed a hand on his arm, trying not to laugh at the guard's shocked expression. "Would you please sit over on the other side of the limo and stare out the window?" She straightened up as the guard smiled stupidly and nodded, shuffling over to the other side of the limo and stared absent-mindlessly out the window.
"They'll repeat anything back to my father, like parrots they are." She liked her privacy, especially now that guys just fawned all over her. "Anyway, my father had some men inject me in that institute and did it again when he didn't think it worked. I got my healing powers first and the persuasion part came the second dose of cells."
"Don't take this the wrong way, but why are you here? You seem to have the power to resist my powers at least some. I doubt you want to really work for my father."
Elena laughed at Liam's comment and followed him quickly to the hideout. She glanced up at Mason when he greeted them. "Erik fell for a pretty girl, to put it lightly." She replied with a roll of her eyes. "You're just glad you didn't get all lovey dovey for the girl. If you tried to leave with her, I would've rip you to shreds," Elena told Liam. She was relieved it didn't have any effect on Liam, she didn't know why, but she wasn't going to question it.

"I'm here for you, obviously. Someone had to go with your father in order to let the others escape. I thought it was about time i went on another adventure and you were the perfect excuse," he smiled. "I used to work for your father. I was his spy on the inside. I guess I was a traitor. I never saw it that way. When the asylum break out occured, I formed a new alliance of mutants. Your father just crushed that, so now i'm free to start a new phase."
Liam was completely flattered by Elena's threat. "Her beauty was nothing compared to yours!" Mason shoved his brother playfully and mumbled "Kiss ass." Mason showed the two around the new hideout, but there wasn't much to see. "It's a plain old house really. We need to build some secret tunnels or something," Mason suggested. "I've appointed Izobel as the leader. Who knows if she'll take it, but I don't think I can be a leader bro, and you...well, your my little bro. I don't want you getting hurt."

"Why don't you just form a new alliance? I mean, has to be more fun then tailing me around all day. I'm really not that interesting." The limo pulled up to a large mansion and Syrena stepped out. "I'm basically cooped up in here all day. I'm like the winning trophy, a prized possession that my father likes to show off, but when that doesn't happen I just sit on the shelf." She gestured to the house.
She walked inside and a butler took her coat. "Will you be needing anything, Miss Hammond?" The guy said with a slightly dazed expression on his face.
"Just a cup of tea, thank you. Bring it up to my room, I'm going to go to bed." She motioned for Erik to follow her up the steps to the second floor. Five doors down the left hallway was her room. It was a giant room, about twice the size of a regular sized room. There was a large canopy bed against the right wall with two night stands beside it. On the left side of the room stood a long, but small dresser with a plasma screen tv on it.
"Nice save," said Elena. She followed Mason around the small house which was now home to about twenty people. "We are not all going to fit here." She said, wondering how they were at the moment.
Izobel rounded the corner and smiled at the three. "Hey guys, glad to see you made it out alright. What happened after I left?"

Erik followed Syrena to her room and sat down on the edge of her bed. He jumped up and down a few times to test how bouncy the mattress was. This will be perfect for our romance, he thought. Erik was still himself in most aspects and he wanted Syrena in a very certain way. He considered himself a gentleman, but he was still a man. "So, where will your guard be sleeping?"
"Liam and Elena were just telling me that Erik joined the other side because of some pretty girl," Mason said, crossing his arms. "Never trusted the guy."
"She was a siren. Apparently she's the General's daughter and he turned her into a mutant. He's making mutants now. We've gotta stop him before things get way out of control," Liam added.
"Why don't we let him? A world full of mutants means that we're all the same. People won't be hatin' on us anymore," said Mason.
