Annabelle walked into the room and looked between the three people before her eyes landed on Izobel. "You rang?" She asked, slightly amused.
"I want you to read that girl's mind. Tell me everything you see." Izobel turned from Annabelle to Syrena. "Sorry Syrena, but I can't jeopardize my friends."
Annabelle walked over to Syrena and touched her shoulder. She was sent spiraling into Syrena's mind. She could see everything Syrena had seen, everything she had thought, from the time she was born to that very minute. A few minutes later she snapped back into reality. "Man, and I thought my life was messed up." She walked over to Izobel and they linked hands. Annabelle sent everything from that day into Izobel's mind.
When Izobel came back her jaw was almost wide open. What she had seen was shocking, to say the least. "That child is Liam's?"

Mason had been in the middle of eating a cookie when he heard the news. He nearly choked on a chocolate chip. "Excuse me?" His brother was a father and he didn't even know it. Mason understood why Syrena would want to keep it a secret, but it would still suck to be a secret dad. "I gotta go for a little bit." Mason walked out of the room and left the girls to talk.
"Find them. If you can't, cause a little chaos in town to lure them out! GO!" Liam screamed, pushing Alek out of the way and storming out of his office. "I'll do it myself!" For the next hour, Liam and his men turned the town upside down. They didn't kill anyone, but they did destroy public property and injury a few 'brave' individuals. Liam sat on the statue in the middle of the public square and waited for some mutants."Come out, come out, wherever you are! The chaos will stop when you show yourself!"

Syrena's eyes widened when Izobel spoke finally. She didn't know the girl could see everything. She watched as Mason left the room. "He doesn't have any contact with Liam, does he?" She asked in a worried tone.
"No, he hasn't spoken to him since that day. So he really has no idea?"
"None, and I want to keep it that way. I've spent three years keeping my daughter out of all of this, I don't want her sucked in. With everything Liam's done, it's better off for her that she doesn't know of him. It was a mistake coming here, I'm going to go." Syrena turned around to go back through the pantry when she felt something pulling her back.
Izobel had ran out and grabbed Syrena's arm. "Don't go! Stay, we can keep you and Elena safe. Liam won't know you're here and you will have everything you need. You didn't let us help you years ago, let us help now." She stared into Syrena's eyes for a few minutes before loosening her hold.
Finally Syrena nodded. "Alright."
Suddenly, a guy ran into the room. "Izobel, we have a problem. Liam and his men are wrecking havoc in town."
Izobel cursed under her breath. "Alright, let me go check it out. Syrena, stay here. Help yourself to anything in the house, okay? Just don't leave." She wanted to know where Mason left to see about having him come with her, but she didn't know where he ran off to.

Mason popped out of nowhere, having heard the news about the town. "Lets go." He hoped that maybe he could bring his brother back. He wanted these gang wars to end peacefully.
"FIND THEM!" He yelled, blowing holes in nearby buildings. Police arrived and tried to stop Liam's men, and things became violent. The police started to shoot some of the mutants, and they killed some of Liam's friends. "Big mistake..." Liam hadn't wanted to kill anyone, but the police had murdered his men. He threw some of the men into buildings and cars, others he turned to ash, and a few he broke every bone in their body with a wave of the hand.

Izobel walked with Mason out into the garage. It would be faster to take a car. She got into a Mercedes and drove off with Mason, riding into town. It didn't take long to find Liam, seeing as he left a trail of destruction. She parked the car about half a block from where Liam was killing the last of the police. It was too late to save any of them by the time she got to Liam. "What are you doing?! Get bored?!" She snapped.
Syrena brought Elena up to Annabelle's room, which was shared with two other girls. Annabelle let them use her bed to put Elena down for a nap. Her roommates were out so it would be perfectly quiet.

"It's about damned time!" Liam smirked, dropping the body of the police officer he'd been strangling. He moved closer to Izobel and Mason, but tried not to let his brother's presence affect him. "Those good officers shot my men first. They had it coming. Look, if you hadn't made your hideout so hard to find, I wouldn't have had to do this! Now...where's Syrena? Brother, where is she?"
Mason shook his head and looked at his brother with sad eyes. "Stop this Liam," he said finally. "You're turning into a monster, just like that General. You remember being stuck in that asylum?"
"I do brother. Even as I was being tortured, I tried so desperately to be friends with the humans. For that, I was branded a traitor by the other mutants. There's no winning. If you won't hand over Syrena, at least listen to my proposal. You see, we both have a common enemy. Perhaps we should work together and kill him off."

"Where Syrena is is none of your concern. If I'm not mistaken, you let her go. She chose to come with us, she is choosing to stay with us. Unlike you, we don't keep people against their will. She doesn't want to talk to you so you might as well just forget about her. Besides, knowing your luck, you'd just end up driving a wooden chair through her chest." Izobel knew perfectly well that what she said was sort of a low blow, but she wanted to cause Liam pain. He was out of control so she was going to use his weakness if she found one.
"And why would we want to join up with you? The general hasn't touched our men, he's more preoccupied with trying to take down you. The way I see it, that battle has nothing to do with me or my men. Seems like you need our help and quite frankly, I don't trust you enough to help you with anything."

The truce was over as soon as Izobel brought up Elena and that damned wooden chair. "You'll regret saying that, especially when I find out where you're hiding and tell the government. Suddenly they'll be very interested in you and your people."
"I'll help you Liam," Mason piped in. "I want to trust you again, but I need proof. I can't imagine you'd turn your own brother over to the government. We're hiding at Izobel's old mansion." Mason had given away their location in the hopes that his brother wouldn't betray him. If Liam kept that information secret, Mason would trust him again.
Liam looked over at Izobel and grinned. "Well...so many paths to choose. I could stay on the darkside, or cross over to the lightside. You won't exile me again, will you? Cause really, you're the ones that betrayed me," he laughed. "I may hate your girlfriend, but I do love you Mason. You're going to help me with a little problem. I don't see why I have to attack your base then."

Izobel looked at Mason, shocked, when he revealed their hideout. She couldn't believe he would just tell Liam. "We didn't betray you, Liam. You killed Elena and brutally stabbed Erik to death, you were out of control. You had a chance to keep your composure, but you chose to turn violent. You became too dangerous to be around any of us. You chose that path.
"After all this time, after all the destruction and chaos you caused, you can't expect us to just let you back in. None of us trust you because of all you've done. You're missing out on something great because you chose revenge on something that was your fault to begin with."

"You're right. I couldn't control myself. All these powers...even ones I never knew I had. You left me when I needed you most. I never thought my own brother would do that." Liam wanted his brother to feel guilt about abandoning him. "I can control my powers now, and I did it all by myself. Aren't you proud of me Mason? It only took three years!"
"I'm gonna help you now Liam. I swear. I should've been there for you. I should've tried to find you three years ago." Mason's guilt had been eating him away, but now he wanted to make up for it. Liam was all the family had left and Mason knew that he could be saved. "Your leader, Izobel doesn't want you to help me Mason. Why is that? Is she trying to come between brothers?"
While Liam was stirring the pot, the General and his men were driving to the town square. Liam had been destroying the town, so finding him was pretty simple. The General still had Hunter as a brainwashed pawn. Now he had a secret weapon that even Liam couldn't kill alone.

"Don't you dare try making me out to be the bad guy! I haven't spent the last three years killing the innocent! You chose this path. Not my fault if you don't like the consequences. Not everyone is going to welcome you back with open arms. You want to be a part of my people, then you have to earn that right and so far, you're not doing a good job." Izobel turned to walk back to her car. "Are you coming Mason?" She was done there, not wanting anything more to do with Liam. She was still angry at Mason for giving away their hideout.

"Please Mason. I need you now more than ever," Liam said seriously, hoping his brother didn't choose his sex partner over family. "The General's death will benefit us all, I promise." Mason knew that his brother had changed dramatically, but he found it difficult to ignore his call for help. "I...I...can't. Sorry," Mason said, running to catch up with Izobel.
Liam was too shocked to yell out anything. He thought his brother would choose him. He had the urge to drop to his knees and cry. Before he could, something smacked him on the back of the head. Liam was slammed down to the ground, picked up and thrown into the mayor's statue. Standing above him was Erik. Or a zombie-cyborg looking Erik. "What the hell?" Liam groaned, standing up, only to be thrown back again by his half dead enemy.

Izobel had been a little worried that Mason would choose Liam over her. She didn't want to make Mason choose, but she didn't trust Liam. Liam had done nothing to make her trust him. He had his men kill many of her friends, he killed her best friend Elena. She wasn't going to just throw all of that knowledge away because he gave them some sob story. In her mind he chose his path, he chose to keep going that day instead of stopping like Elena, Mason, and her had told him. By choosing that path he chose to end up killing Elena and Erik.
She turned around when she heard the commotion and almost fell back in shock. Erik was beating up Liam. It looked like Erik except that he almost looked like a zombie. He seemed to have amazing strength, not something Erik had before. Without thinking, she picked up a nearby car and threw it at Erik, knocking him away from Liam.

While Erik was distracted with a car knocking him over, Liam hobbled over to Izobel and Mason. "At least you didn't walk away this time," he mumbled. "This is why I said we should get rid of the General! I knew he was making super soldiers, but I didn't know he was bringing Erik back from the dead."
The General was sitting in his limo not far from the scene. If Erik needed help, he would send some more prototype soldiers. Some were faulty though. Erik was the most successful super soldier, mainly because he was barely human. Erik raised his arms and the ground underneath Izobel, Mason and Liam began to shake. "We should probably move," Mason suggested, grabbing Izobel and Liam and pulling them out of the way. "How many powers does this guy have?" Mason asked. "Who knows," Liam answered. "I'll distract him and you two make a run for it. I appreciate the help, but I don't want this zombie guy to kill you bro."

"What about all your new powers? Can't you make him explode or something?!" Izobel said as she moved away from the shaking ground. She picked up all the guns from the dead cops and began firing them at Erik all at once. In all there were around twenty-five guns. She inched back towards her car, wanting to keep her front facing Erik. She didn't know what this thing was capable of.
