"Now I'm hoping I can help out. I don't want to be the damsel in distress anymore, the one every guy tries to save because I'm pregnant. I have a gift, I can be useful. Plus I want to make sure Jimmy and Claire die. I don't want to raise my baby in a crappy place like this." Avery was hoping that Wesley was going to stay with them and watch after her. Gosh, if you act this lovey dovey he's going to think you're a freak! "What about you?" She asked, trying to sound casual.

Jadyn felt tears come to her eyes for the first time in eleven years. Jake had always promised her that he would never hurt her. Hearing it come out of Hunter's mouth made him more like Jake than ever before. "He always used to say that...'I would never hurt you'. It was his famous line..."

"Well, I guess i'll stay here with you and help out the rebellion. I don't have much of a choice. I can't go back to Jimmy, not that i'd want to. Don't get me wrong, I want to stay with you," he said quickly, "but I have no choice in what else i'm doing. This may be out of line, but that baby boy's gonna need some kind of father figure," he smiled.

"I'm sorry," he said earnestly. "I said I wouldn't hurt you and I am," he smiled sadly. "Do you want me to go? I really don't want to hurt you anymore. It might kill me to be away from you, but if it's what you want..."

Avery grinned as her cheeks turned a darker shade of pink. "That would be great, but I have to warn you, I don't know how this baby is going to turn out. back in 2009 I was raped by a demon that Claire sicked on me. I don't know if this baby will have some nasty demon side that I don't know about."

Jadyn got herself together and wiped her eyes clean. "No, I'm fine. It's just this is all bringing up some feelings I've held in for a long time. I guess we can try this whole you and me thing if you want. I'm not sure I'll be good at it after so long."

Wes didn't speak for a few minutes, disturbed by the fact that Claire was raped by a demon. There was nothing Wes could do, unless the demon was still on earth. "You're an amazing woman. You've been through so much in such a short amount of time. I'm sure you'll raise the child to be 'good'. He's lucky to have a mother like you."

"I know I can make you happy. Ugh, hold on," he said, returning to the other room to grab his pants. "I didn't want to make you uncomfortable with my nakedness," he smirked playfully. He grabbed her hand and pulled her a little closer to him. "Something was drawing me to Sleepy Hollow. I don't think it was Jimmy or Claire. I think it was you."

Avery smiled. "Thanks. I wish I had met you in better circumstances. Back in 2010 it was like paradise compared to now. We wouldn't have had to hide in a warehouse." She was missing her own time, but she really liked Wesley.

"If you can make me happy, and I mean really happy, then I think I may have found an angel." The words sounded corny to her but they were true. "Um, I don't mean to cut our conversation short, but we're trying to build some sort of solid walkway to the next factory. We're running out of space here. Would you like to help?"
