Giving Back to the Community

[Elijah]

"Thank you for the compliment. I didn't do it for the others. I did it for you and you alone. I was still kinda under your control when I had to kill my only friend in that place. He was one of the doctors. After his death...all I could think about was you and keeping you safe. If killing everyone in that place would guarantee your safety, I would do it. It was strange...the feeling of control and then freedom. It happened very suddenly, but my emotions blended in a way. I know it sounds confusing," he chuckled.

"Good morning beautiful," Erik smiled, squeezing Riley's hand. "Katerina totally saved you. She's an amazing witch. After that, we escaped and returned to base. You didn't miss much. Oh, Lukas is still alive so we're going to strike again. You get another chance at him."

[Kendra // Shane // Lilith]

Jo frowned. "I'm sorry you had to kill him. But thank you for keeping me safe, even after what I did to you. It's nice to know someone is watching out for me, since no one else seems to want to." She was referring to Erik who suddenly didn't seem to give a damn about her. It hurt, a lot, especially since only a month before he was trying to gain her trust and win her back. She had really been hoping that the 'I love you' to come out of his mouth would be to her, not Riley.

Good save on that, Kat." Riley congratulated. She was eager for another chance at Lukas, though this time she wasn't going to play fair. "When I do, you want to help?" She figured it would be smart to have someone help her since just herself didn't seem to work.

[Elijah]

"I'm sorry about that...you really seem to like that guy. Love works in mysterious ways though. If you were with Erik, then I wouldn't have a chance," he chuckled. "If you don't want me to...pursue you, then just tell me. I won't leave you, I promise. I'd rather be your friend than nothing at all. You defended me in that room and you're the only person who cares if I live or die."

"Oh you know i'm going with you," Erik smirked. "I won't be letting you out of my sight for a while. You almost died, remember? Hey, why don't we all celebrate? I'll order some pizzas. We need some happiness."

The door opened and one of the men threw a twenty at Garrett's head. "Boss wants you to go grab us some beer. Bring me back that change." Garrett pocketed the money and smirked at Jo. "They think i'm still their servant. I could rip their arms from their sockets."

[Kendra // Shane // Lilith]

"Yeah, I did. I told him I loved him right after he sunk his claws into me. I had hoped when I saw him that we would have gotten together, but I guess he's moved on. I guess I should too, right?" Jo flashed Garrett a smile and stood up as one of the guys threw him a twenty and ordered him to go get beer. "Well why don't we teach them that you aren't their servant. Want to go grab a bite to eat? You could tell me about yourself since I know absolutely nothing about you."

Riley remembered something that Erik had said to her and sighed. "Can I talk to you alone for a minute?" She asked him as everyone around them started to talk. She led him into the bathroom and closed the door behind her. "I think we need to talk about what happened back there, in the office. You said you loved me."

[Elijah]

"That sounds like a wonderful idea," he smiled back, standing up and grabbing her hand. Instead of going to fancy place, they grabbed some of the best hotdogs in town, bought a couple blankets and a six pack of beer. He took her to a secluded lake in the middle of the forest and set one of the blankets down on the ground. "This place is perfect because the moon is clearly visible and the fog floats right over the water. It's amazing."

"Ya? What is there to talk about? I love you. I'll say it again. I love you. I know what you're gonna say, but I can't help it. I know Jo might be upset, which is why i've been...distant with her. You're amazing and I really do love you. Jo should understand. Our relationship wouldn't have gone anywhere, atleast not after I attacked her."

[Kendra // Shane // Lilith]

"This is perfect." Jo sat down on the blankets and picked up one of the hot dogs. It wasn't a fancy place, but she liked it. The water looked awesome. "How'd you find this place?" She asked curiously.

Riley listened to Erik before nodding. "Alright, but don't ignore her, okay? Talk to her. I know you still care about her and you wouldn't want to ruin that." She walked over to him and ran a few fingers down his cheek. "Now, did you have to tell me that when I was lying on the floor with three bullets in me?" She added, teasing him.

[Elijah]

"I spend a lot of time alone...wandering the forests. I'm going to share my secret with you though. You're that special to me," he chuckled, popping open one of the beers and taking a sip. "I toast to you, my beautiful new friend." Garrett finished his hotdog in about two bites and chugged the rest of the beer. "When did you find out about your power?" he asked curiously.

"I won't ignore her. I'll go talk to her tonight, I promise." Erik placed his hand over hers and enjoyed the feeling of her touch. "I had to tell you...I had to let you know before you left. Luckily, a wonderful witch saved you and now I get to....express my love for you." Erik slowly led her backwards until her back hit the bathroom wall. He moved slowly, kissing her neck and jaw before heading towards her lips.

Jo smirked. "When I was fourteen I was on a date. The guy I was with kept trying to kiss me. I finally told him that he was a jerk and he should tell everyone in the school he was. The next day he announced on the loudspeaker that he was a jerk. When I told my dad he wanted me to try it out on him so I told him to eat a pickle and peanutbutter sandwich, just because he hates pickles. And he did. He was really cool about it, my mom was a little freaked out at first." She finished up her hot dog and turned back to Garrett. "What about you? What was your life like before all this?"

A smile spread across Riley's face as Erik started to kiss her neck slowly. "You assumed I would leave? I'm stronger than you know. No evil guy is going to kill me." She moved her head down a little until Erik's lips met hers. She wrapped her arms around his neck as they kissed, loving the feeling.

[Elijah]

"Umm, I don't know. When I was younger my life was pretty normal. I wasn't popular but I wasn't a nerd or anything. I just kinda went with the flow. When I got older I had a little problem with drugs. Nothing terrible. I stopped, I swear," he smiled. "It was peer pressure. After that my little sister died of cancer and my parents died in a car crash. It's really depressing, i'm sorry. I made a vow that I would get through school, in honor of my family. Then I was recruited by Lukas who turned me into a scary monster. Now i've found you...and i'm happy," he smiled.

"When everyone leaves, i'll show you exactly how much I love you," he grinned, kissing her lips one more time. "Unfortunately, we must go entertain our guests. I should order pizza. So you're okay with this? Our relationship? Are we in a relationship?"

[Kendra // Shane // Lilith]

"Oh, I'm sorry. I was probably the exact opposite of you. I was rich, my mom a fashion designer and my dad a doctor. I had the looks so I was popular, though they weren't my real friends. They just hung out with me because I looked 'hot'. Then I met Erik. We were both cleaning up this park and on our way home some guys attacked us. He tried to defend me. Then a couple months later I was snooping around Lukas' house and saw him kill a guy, he saw, kidnapped us and here we are. I had to make my parents think I died and that they wanted to move to Australia."

Riley kissed Erik one more time before walking to the door. "I wouldn't be kissing you if I wasn't okay with this. It is sort of ironic. Hunter and the monster together, don't you think?" She chuckled at the sound of it. "Can't wait until everyone leaves. I want to see exactly how much you love me." She opened up the door and walked out where everyone was wondering when the food was coming and where Garrett was with the beer.

[Elijah]

"You do look hot," he mumbled, sipping on another beer. He started chuckling and layed back on the blanket. "The stars are so bright out here....there aren't any street lights around." He looked over at her and smiled. "I'm sorry you had to let your parents go, but I promise we'll go find them someday. When Lukas is dead, i'll go to Australia with you and help you find them." He reached over slowly, and ran his fingertips down her arm. "They're gonna be so pissed when we go back to the room and they find out that I spent all their money."

[Kendra // Shane // Lilith]

Jo laughed, taking a beer for herself. She knew she was underage, but it wasn't like she hadn't gone to parties before. She took a sip before placing it next to her and laid down. "I'll take that as a compliment. But I would like that, I just want Lukas to die so I can try to find my parents and go back to a semi normal life. Maybe you could be a part of that. Heck, I might just take you to Australia with me whether you like it or not. You could live in my closet."

She turned her face to look at Garrett and glanced at his fingers ran down her arm. "Serves them right. They shouldn't have treated you like the enemy. Besides, I can say that I forced you to do this." She added with a wink.

[Elijah]

"Closet? I think i'd rather share a bed with you. A entire home," he grinned. "You can persuade me to do anything Jo, but I won't let you take credit for this one. I'm corrupting you! I'm making you follow me out into the woods, and i'm making you drink beer. I am the enemy through and through!" he shouted joyfully. "Erik's an idiot for giving you up," he smiled, leaning over and kissing her lightly on the cheek.

[Kendra // Shane // Lilith]

"Oh yes, cause you're shoving the beer down my throat. And you totally seduced me to get me to come here with you." Jo finished off her beer and put the empty can by her side. "Well, his loss is your gain, isn't it? I can't really blame him though, I didn't want to go near him for a week after he came back. I was scared of him, still haunted by what happened." She sat up and lifted up her shirt so Garrett could see the four long scars on her stomach. "I had a hard time getting over it."

[Elijah]

"He did this to you?" Garrett growled, actually showing anger instead of indifference. He propped himself up and ran his fingers lightly down her scars. "Son of a bitch. Psh, like hell he couldn't control himself. I haven't been a hybrid as long as he has, but I still have control over what I do. He's been careless. He doesn't deserve you! I promise I won't ever hurt you," he said seriously.
