[Elijah]

Erik followed after Riley, leaving Darla alone in the room. Since she wasn't actually a child, he figured she'd be fine on her own. "Riley! Wait up!" Erik heard the gunshot in the facility, and sped up. He finally caught up to everyone and walked right through the door. "What are you doing?!? We're not ready for this!"

"I don't have anything of his. I'll just--did you hear that?" Lukas pressed a button on his desk, bringing up a screen on the wall. He could see what was going on in the main entrance. "Looks like Rick found out who's inhabiting his daughter's body," he chuckled. "He wants to speak with me...well I don't really want to oblige him unless he offers me something."

[Kendra // Shane // Lilith]

Riley ran through the doors to see one guy dead and a few hybrids coming towards Rick. "Rick, Rick we need to go, now!" She said, pulling on his arm, but he wouldn't budge, not until Lukas came out. Riley only had one choice, to help Rick. She shot the hybrid closest to her in the head, not wanting him to get closer to her.

Lauren chuckled as she saw the other two enter. "Maybe you want to go now. You can try out your new weapon on the hunter, kill her finally. That might cripple the hybrid. See how close he's standing to her? She's his mate."

[Elijah]

"That hybrid isn't the problem. He's the weaker of my two subjects. The newest formula was injected into the other hybrid. I suppose one less hybrid would be better. Sure, lets end this now," he said happily. Lukas held down the intercom button and announced that he'd be coming down in a moment. Lukas grabbed the knife and held it behind his back. "Good thing I trained in knife throwing as a young lad. Just keep the hybrid and that Rick guy away from Riley."

Erik could feel that something was wrong. He grabbed Riley's arm and shook his head. "We need to go now. Rick can handle himself. Please!" It was then that Lukas, surrounded by ten hybrids entered the room. "Let me guess...you came here to save your daughter. I suppose I could help. I just need one thing from you...are you willing to give me something Rick?"

[Kendra // Shane // Lilith]

Riley wanted to get out of there, but she could leave Rick. "No he can't! Look at all these guys. I can't leave him here, Erik. He's like a father to me!" She gave him a pleading look and hoped he wouldn't be mad at her after all this. "Rick, don't trust him! We can get your daughter back, lets just go, please!"

"Yes! I'll give you anything! Do you want me? Take my life, just let my little girl go!" Rick pleaded, desperate at this point. Darla was his little angel, his life. Without her he was nothing. He would sell his soul to the devil if his daughter would be set free.

[Elijah]

"Okay good," he smiled evily. "I want your second daughter." He could see the confusion cross Rick's face before it suddenly sunk in. Lukas was already cocking his arm back and releasing the knife before anyone could really react. As long as no one stepped infront of the knife, Riley wouldn't stand a chance. As soon as the knife was in the air, the hybrids surrounding Lukas quickly blocked him from view and started to go after Rick and Erik.

[Kendra // Shane // Lilith]

Riley didn't get what he was talking about until she saw Lukas throw the knife, by then it was too late. She watched helplessly as the knife pierced the center of her chest. She looked down at the knife in her chest before looking sideways at Erik. Her face was a mixture of pain and confusion as she collapsed on the floor. She felt her throat closing up and she gasped to try and breathe.

"NO!" Rick shouted. He turned to go after Lukas but there were hybrids coming after them. He started to shoot at them all, just wanting to get to Lukas. He took both of his children away from him and he wouldn't allow him to get away with it.

When the knife pierced Riley's chest, Lukas didn't bother to stay around. He knew the curse would work and Riley would finally be killed. He let the hybrids distract Rick and Erik, and ran back to his office. He took the bookcase tunnel system and ended up outside, where a car with tinted, bullet-proof windows picked him up.

Erik tried to fight them all off, but he had to focus on Riley. If he could get her out fast enough, he could find Katerina and save her. He picked Riley up and told Rick to run. If he decided to stay and fight, that was all on him. He ran out of the building with Riley and took her back to the motel room. Picking up Riley's cell, he called Katerina and told her to come over. "Hurry!"

[Kendra // Shane // Lilith]

Katerina got there within minutes and ran into the room. "What happened?!" She asked as she saw Riley on the bed. Riley looked pale and her clothes were soaked with blood. She walked over to the bed, sat beside Riley, and started to whisper in Latin. She went to pull the dagger out when it burned her.

"Ow!" She said and her eyes widened. She picked up one of Riley's arms and examined it, sure enough there were black lines where her veins were. "The dagger was cursed." She took a breath and grabbed onto the dagger, it burning her. She pulled the dagger out and threw it to the floor, ignoring her burnt hand.

[Elijah]

"Cursed? What does that mean?!? Is she gonna be okay?" Erik shouted, freaking out. He could see her black veins and how pale her skin was. He could see the blood pouring from her wound. "Shit, shit, shit! Tell me there's something you can do Katerina! Please tell me she's gonna live!" He knelt down beside her on the bed and stroked her hair. "I love you. Please don't die."

[Kendra // Shane // Lilith]

"I'm trying, okay?! This is powerful magic, Erik!" Katerina tried something else, in hopes it would work, but the wound was still there. "Dammit! I hate that bitch!" She was getting really frustrated because she knew she beat Lauren in battle, so why couldn't she beat her now.

Riley looked over at Erik and took his hand lightly in hers. "I...I love you t-t-too..." She winced. She was in so much pain and she didn't know how to make it go away. A tear fell down her cheek. "It hurts...g-god...I'm s-sorry..."

[Elijah]

Erik grabbed her hand and kissed her lips. He knew he was losing her. "I love you so much," he said, tears starting to build up. "This is the second time...I don't know if I can survive this..." Erik broke down and let the tears fall freely. "I love you and we'll see each other again, I promise. I promise. I love you!"

Garrett could hear the commotion through the motel walls and he looked over at Jo with a confused look on his face. He left the room and entered Riley's. The rusty smell of blood filled his nostrils. He surveyed the room and focused in on Riley and Erik. He was losing the love of his life and there was nothing Katerina could do to stop it.

[Kendra // Shane // Lilith]

Katerina was trying everything she knew, but nothing was working. She tried to shut out what they were saying but it was hard and she felt tears slipping down her own cheeks. "I'm trying Erik...I'm really trying." She was running out of things to try. She had gotten close with Erik and Riley over the few weeks she was there. It hurt her a lot to not be able to revive her friend.

"Y-You're stronger than...than you know. Take c-care of J-Jo...I-I lo--" Riley stopped mid sentence as her head fell to the side. Her breathing stopped and her eyes stared blankly ahead. Her hold on Erik's hand went limp. She was gone.

"I'm so sorry Erik." Katerina said at last.

Jo followed Garrett into Riley's room and looked around. "What happened?" She asked, not being able to see Riley because Erik was in the way.

[Elijah]

Garrett grabbed Jo's arm to get her attention and shook his head. "Don't," he mouthed. Erik was too upset to be angry about Jo's oblivious question. "I love you," he whispered one more time before letting Riley's hand go. Erik didn't want to leave Riley's body, but he had to get some air. He wanted to be alone for the rest of the night. Erik trudged out of the room and headed for the docks.

Garrett stepped toward the bed and examined the knife wound. "Another witch was involved? Lukas knew what he was doing. I know this is a time of mourning, but we have to strike fast Katerina. He's making more hybrids, recruiting more mythical beings, and building a new fortress."

[Kendra // Shane // Lilith]

Katerina nodded. "I fought her during the first battle. She's a very powerful witch, but I was better. I should've been able to fix her!" She punched the wall and turned to look at Riley. She was frustrated and pissed that Lauren was able to beat her. Before this she prided herself on being the best she's ever met.

"That witch is going to pay. I'm going to make her eyes bleed until they dissolve and pour out her sockets!" She was being extremely serious. She knew just the hex to do it too. She was going to hurt Lauren. She would make Lauren wish she never crossed paths with her.
