"Lukas had brainwashed him. He thought I was the enemy and had to die. He almost succeeded but Riley shot him and helped me. I forgive him, I know it wasn't actually him doing that, he would never. But I was scared." Jo put her shirt down and smiled at what Garrett said. She actually believed him, it was a nice feeling. "I trust you. So, do you want to get going? Or stay here a little longer?"

"I'd really like to stay here with you, but I know they must be worried about you. They have three beers they can share," he smiled. He packed up all their things and then grabbed Jo's hand. He loved the feeling of her skin against his. It comforted him. "Shall we go tell the others of our engagment?" he chuckled.
When they arrived back at the motel, some of the people had left. They'd been tired of waiting for their alcohol. Stepping inside the room, he handed the open case of beers to Erik and smiled widely. "Hello everyone. Sorry it took so long. I stopped off for a hotdog." Before he could react, Erik dropped the beers and punched Garrett in the face. "I swear, if you hurt Jo, i'll kill you!" Erik shouted.

"What the hell Erik?!" Jo shouted. She walked over to Garrett and checked to see if he was bleeding. "You automatically assume he'll hurt me?! The only thing he's done is save me. I'd be lying dead Lukas' floor if it wasn't for him, not that you care, you were so wrapped up with Riley to notice." She wasn't too happy with Erik at the moment. "Apologize to Garrett." She was serious. If Erik didn't she would walk out of there with Garrett. Right then he was the only one who seemed to notice her, she wasn't going to let him be bullied by everyone.

"It's okay," Garrett said, standing up and placing a hand on Jo's shoulder. "He's mad at me because of my attitude. I arrived here, smiling, with only three beers. He was worried about you because he thought i'd taken you. I understand," he shrugged. "You don't owe me an apology." Garrett swung without warning, knocking Erik right off of his feet. "I just get to punch you back."
When Erik recovered, he started to go after Garrett again, until he saw the look on Jo's face. "Jo....i'm so sorry. I wanted to talk to you tonight about it. We've been so distant...I started to fall for Riley. I never wanted to hurt you. I just knew that we'd never be fully comfortable with each other. You'd always be a little worried. I'd always be a little worried! Who knows if the brainwashing after math will ever come back to haunt me."

Jo listened to Erik, though she didn't want to at the beginning. "I would have understood if you just talked to me before. Instead you just ignored me. I'd rather be your friend then be ignored. But please, stop being so rude to Garrett. I know you think he was just doing what I told him to, but that's not it. Halfway through the fight he was back to himself. He could have left or join their side, but he didn't. He helped us, all of us. If he didn't knock out Lukas and fight the hybrids than both Riley and I would be dead. I trust him and so should you."

"I'll be nice if it makes you happy Jo, but i'm going to be keeping a close eye on him. I don't trust him, alright? It takes time to build up trust. He could've taken you out to the forest and killed you or turned you into Lukas. I was worried." Erik turned to Riley and shrugged. "Don't you agree Riley?"

"He could've," Riley agreed. "I won't lie, I don't trust him either, but it did take me a few weeks to fully trust Erik. Just be careful, okay?" She couldn't tell Jo not to hang out with Garrett because she was thankful to him. "And thank you Garrett. You did help us. Just don't make us wish we killed you, okay?"
Jo sighed and looked at Riley and Erik. "And I'm here without a scratch on me. I'm not worried about going anywhere with him, I actually feel safe. I'm going to bed, alright? I'll see you guys tomorrow, we all need a good night's sleep. Come on Garrett." She said and walked out the door to her room. She didn't mind sharing a room with him.

"You're the ones that were planning on killing me," he mumbled as they walked out the door. Erik started to go after them when he realized that they were sharing a room. He turned around to Riley and ran his hands through his hair in frustration. "They're sharing a room Riley. You know what...i'm not gonna flip out. We're sharing a room," he smirked.
Garrett followed Jo into the room and closed the door. He grabbed an extra pillow from the closet and dropped it on the floor beside the bed. He took off his jacket, shoes, pants and then layed down on the ground. "Thank you...for defending me and for letting me stay here."

Riley chuckled. "You know, you sound like an older brother." She thought it was hilarious. She wasn't too fond of them sharing a room, but she trusted Jo. "She won't let him do anything to her that she doesn't want. We just have to trust her. Besides, we have been sharing a room for a month and haven't done anything." She sat down on her bed.
"You're welcome and you know you could sleep on the bed. It's king sized, I don't need all of it." Jo felt bad that he had to sleep on the dirty hard floor when she had a huge bed. It wasn't like they were going to sleep together, just sleep on the same bed, no big deal.

"You're sooo right! We haven't done anything yet," he chuckled, ripping off his shoes and hopping onto the bed. He stripped down to his underwear and patted the spot next to him. "If you're not too exhausted, i'd love to show you how you make me feel."
"I don't wanna make you feel uncomfortable," Garrett shrugged. "I don't mind sleeping on the floor. We only just got to know each other tonight. I'll give it a few days before I take you up on the offer of sleeping in the bed," he chuckled. "I'm a hybrid. A werewolf and a vampire. I'll be fine. Promise."

----Two Weeks Later------
Riley woke up with a start when she heard banging on her door. "I'm coming!" She called, still groggy from sleep. She had a late night with Erik, which she never regretted. He was amazing. When she opened her door she was surprised to see Rick standing there, gripping onto his daughter's hand. "Why are you here so early, Rick? The sun isn't even up."
"We have a problem!" He said, his voice sounding worried. "This isn't my daughter!" He pushed his daughter into the room, making her fall to the floor.
She looked up at him with scared eyes and her lip quivered. "D-Daddy! Why are you hurting me?!" She cried.
"Have you gone crazy Rick? That's your daughter."
"No! No it's not. That bastard Lukas possessed her, I know it! Just look!" He pulled out some power and threw it at his daughter.
Suddenly the little girls eyes turned black for a moment. A smile spread across her lips, a evil, devious smile unlike her own. "Alright, you caught me. I was hoping to keep it up for a little while longer. I mean you just go ga ga over 'Daddy, I love you!' it's pathetic."

"What's going on?" Erik grumbled, sliding out of bed and joining the others around Darla. When he heard what she said and saw her eyes go black, he couldn't help but let out a chuckle. "Sorry...I laugh during weird or scary things. It's my way of diffusing the tension. Sorry." Erik looked down at Darla and asked, "Who are you and why have you invaded this poor little girl's body? What is it you want?"

"My name's Lelith. I was summoned into this body by some very nice men. I just want to have some fun, but nobody wants to play with me. Will you play with me?" Lelith looked up at Erik with a playful smile on her face. Suddenly, Rick threw holy water on her, making her face burn and she screamed in pain. Her head snapped to the side until she was looking at Rick, her face serious. "Do that again and I'll snap your neck."
Riley looked over at Rick. "Calm down Rick, we'll find a way to extract the demon. We've done many before."
"She's only five! She won't survive it! God, I'm going to kill Lukas!" Rick snapped and stormed out of the room.
"Rick! Come back!" Riley shouted after him.
Lauren, the evil witch that fought Katerina, walked into Lukas' office. "Sir, I have what you were asking for." She pulled out a blade and handed it to him. "This will prevent that witch from healing anyone stabbed by it. It was dipped in the blood of a serial killer." A smirked played on her lips, she was proud of herself. "I wouldn't advise using it on the supernatural, since their own healing abilities will override the curse. Humans though, it will work perfectly."

"So he leaves us with the demon child? Wow, that's nice. Looks demon girl, I don't wanna play with you, but there's a nice hybrid next door who would be delighted to hang out with you," he smirked, crossing his arms. He could see how distraught Riley was, so he stopped joking around and tried to think of a plan. "Why don't we get Jo to control her for a few hours?"
"Thank you very much Lauren," he smiled, placing the knife on his desk in a special case. "You've done so well. I know exactly which human i'm going to use this on. Riley, the hunter that got away. I have a feeling they're going to strike again soon. The problem is they have a spy with them. One of my best hybrids has turned against me. Now they have two hybrids on their side and one knows where my bunker is in the woods. We need a new place to hide Lauren..."

"No time, Rick's going after Lukas and he'll get killed if I don't stop him." Riley took her gun from the dresser and ran out after Rick. He had been like a father to her, she had to help him. She knew Erik would follow her and she actually thought that was a good idea. One of them might be able to find Rick before they got to Lukas'.
"Rick! Rick get back here!" She called out, but he was ignoring her.
He had gotten a head start so he was able to get to the lab before she could stop him. He just stormed in and shot the nearest guard. "GET ME LUKAS! GET HIM NOW BEFORE I KILL YOU ALL!" He shouted. A few lab workers ran off to go get him, not wanting to be shot.
"Do you have something of Garrett's? I can erase his memory so he can't spill anything about you or your plans, though it has been two weeks. Anything he knew he probably already told them." Lauren suggested.
