Visiting an Old Friend

[Liam/Mason]

Hunter decided that the 'jumping through the window and secretly visiting her' thing wasnt gonna happen. Maybe the doctors wouldnt know he was a hybrid. So he walked through the front doors and noticed that is was quiet and not too busy. Walking to the front desk, he asked "Excuse me, is there an Emma Burke here? Im here to visit her". Hunter hoped that bad news woudlnt come out of the womans mouth and that Emma was ok.

[Tegan Monahan]

The receptionist looked up from her computer and looked at Hunter. "Emma Burke?" She said as she picked up a clipboard and began to examine some of the names. "Yes she's in the ICU. Go straight down that hallway, make a left, and it's the fourth door on the left." She instructed. "Just to warn you she hasn't woken up from her coma. Doesn't look promising either." She added.

Hunter nodded and began traveling the, what seemed like forever, long journey to her room. Finally arriving, Hunter hesitated in opening the door and then walked through. "Emma..." he whispered. Seeing her for the first time in so long made him smile. But seeing her like this was heart breaking. Sitting down next to her bed, he gently held her hand. "Its been a long time.....since we've spoken.....and I regret ever leaving your side. Please hear me, please try to break through this. Im going to help you all I can...."

Emma was laying on the bed motionless. She had a needle sticking out of her arm that was open for if the doctors needed to put some medicine in her. She had a clamp on her pointer finger which was hooked up to a machine that monitored her heart rate. The line kept going up and down slowly but didn't increase or decrease at all. A small tube was placed in her nose that was helping her breathe and a number of other machines were hooked up to her as well. If the sight of that didn't scare you she would. Her face was swollen in some places and abover her back eye was a large cut that was stitched up. Her stomach was wrapped in tight bandages underneath her robe because of five cracked ribs and her arm was bandaged because of a really deep and large cut. She had bruises and small cuts all over her body and a patch on her forehead.

About two hours had passed by when Hunter finally let go of her hand, but only for a moment. Walking to the other side of the room, he got an extra chair, a blanket and a small pillow. Bringing those back to Emma's bedside, he used the extra chair to prop up his feet, the blanket for a blanket and pillow for obviously a pillow. Reaching his hand out, he gently caressed Emma's hand and didnt let go after that. Hunter began to drift off in a deep sleep.

Abby walked into the room and watched the two for a bit. It was very pathetic to watch him there but she had to admire his determintation to stay there. She stayed there silently as she waited for Hunter to fall asleep. She glanced at the monitor as Emma's heart rate decreased slightly. Abby knew she wasn't going to last much longer. It was just a matter of hours. At the most a day or so.

After a few hours, he began to stirr and eventually woke up. With blurred vision he thought he saw someone but didnt know for sure. Rubbing his eyes, he then noticed that is was Abby. Quickly, he got up, pushed the chair away and stared her down. "What are you doing here?" he grumbled. "Youve done enough to her, just leave." he said in a soft voice. Turning back towards Emma, he laid his hand on hers and tried to think of a way he could help. "There must be may to transfer some life, some......energy..." he whispered. HUnter tried to concentrate on giving his energy to her, but it didnt seem to be working.

Abby held back her laughter as Hunter tried to do something to keep Emma alive. "You can't do anything to help her. Within the hour she'll be dead, gone. She'll be in my father's command then." She said softly. She took a couple of steps in and looked at the monitor, then at Hunter. "You'd be doing her a favor if you just go up to the receptionist and tell her to pull the plug. Less suffering for Emma." She added. She was having fun haunting him and she knew that deep down he thought he should do that too. He may deny it but it was the best solution. She wanted Hunter to notice that she said Emma was going to hell. He would most deffinatly defend her and say she was too good to go there right?

Hunter just shook his head. "No, shes not going to die and shes not going to hell. I wont let it happen." Turning to see Abby he stared her in the eyes and a thought raced through his mind. "Can you save her? Id do anything, but only if you could." he said walking towards her.

[Tegan Monahan]

Abby leaned against the wall and crossed her arms. "God gives people second chances and so can Satan. He just doesn't like to do it." She said simply. She took her back off the wall and walked over to Hunter. "What are you willing to do for her?" She asked softly. She walked passed Hunter and over to Emma's bedside.

[Liam/Mason]

"Anything and everything" he said softly. Hunter walked to the opposite side of her bed and looked down on her. "Anything......" he said again, looking up at Abby. "Just tell me what and Ill do it."
Hunter couldnt think of one thing he wouldnt do for Emma. He hadnt even spoken to emma in months maybe even a year and now at just the sight and thought of her, he would do anything for her.

Abby grinned and glanced down at Emma. "Satan gets your soul. Which means when you die you work for him. If he says to murder innocent children you will murder those children. If he says to kill slayer after slayer then you do that. If he tells you to hurt someone in anyway you do that." She stated. "Are you willing to risk innocent people's lives to save one girl? A girl who murdered a man already? Not to mention that you do this and she'll wake up in excrutiating pain. Best just let her die." She said happily.

[Liam/Mason]

"Why would she be in pain?" he asked surprised. "I want her safe and unharmed and healed. And you best stay away from her." But Hunter was having second thoughts. 'I dont want to harm innocents but living without Emma would be no life at all. Its been hard enough being away from her for a few months.' he thought to himself. "Plus, its hard for me to die anyway. Maybe Id live forever" he said trying to get himself to laugh. But nothing could brighten the moment.

"Woah, woah, woah. Back up here. Satan can give pardons and reprieves but he can't heal people. You'd need to find a witch for that, powerful one too. He'll give her life back but she'll wake up just like she is and in intense pain and agony." She said simply. "You died once technically. Who says you won't die again." She said with a smirk. "I would hurry up and decide." She said to him as she pointed to the monitor. Emma's heart rate had dropped and was barley reconizable.

Hunter had to make the decision fast. Would Emma hate him for bringing her back? He couldnt let her die just like that either! "I-I.....ummm OK ok! Deal!" he said almost to a point of shouting. 'Ive got to find angel.....' he thought. Looking down at Emma, he wondered if he'd made a mistake....
