A loud bell rang throughout the classrooms of the school. Suddenly, a stampeede of teenage students walked out of every classroom door. School was over for the day and everyone was eager to get out of their 'prison cell'. It was a sunny Friday and teenagers wanted to hang out at the mall or park. Nicole however, had to gather her things and go get her little sister from second grade. She walked to her locker and after putting in the combination, opened it. There were a few wooden steaks and a couple of crosses scattered among the vast amounts of books. She started to rummage in her locker, getting a couple of books she needed for homework.
Her mind traveled to the late night two days ago when a young man had rescued her from Abigail's house. He had thought she was delusional when she tried to get away from Abby when that girl showed up. She wondered what had happened after the guy knocked her out, which she appreciated. She wanted to thank the guy for saving her, although she still had the nightmares everytime she shut her eyes. She still got deep cuts, two which were on her arms, one small one on her cheek, and three long ones on her back. She had tried to get sleep that night and those appeared like someone carved them into her. She was surprisingly still sane from all that even if she didn't know how.

Raphael waited outside the school for the bell to ring after it did he went looking for Nicole. He searched and asked several people and finaly he spotted her "Nicole!" he called moving quickly to her "Nicole how are you feeling?" he asked her slowly trying to sound as natural as he could

Nicole stood up when she heard her name and turned as Raphael walked towards her. "Hey, your the guy that saved me right?" She asked curiously. She was making sure that she wasn't just making it all up. She had a hard time dealing with what was real and just a nightmare. She turned to him fully and the deep gash on her cheek shown which had two butterfly bandages on it. Her lower right arm was wrapped tightly in an ace bandage which could be seen because she was wearing a short sleeve shirt. The cuts on her back had huge bandages on them but wasn't covered by an ace bandage.

Raphael looked at her "yes I am... the nightmares continued, the only way to cure you is going to whoever did this to you." he said in a very low tone "I need to speak to you. In private." he looked at her straight in the eyes he had to tell her all from the Watcher deal to the Satan's daughter.

"Yeah I know, Seraphim told me about that, but thank you for saving me." She said with a weak smile. She looked around for any teachers and then motioned for him to come inside an empty classroom to the left of her locker. She walked inside and kept the lights off so they wouldn't be disturbed. "What do you want to tell me?" She asked and her mind darted to Abby. "Did that girl Abby hurt you? I remember telling you to get me away from her, but then you kind of knocked me out."

Raphael looked at her "She did hurt me not exactely the way most people would expect. Her name is Abigail and she is the Satan's daughter." he thought for a bit and told her what went through that night "I was completly foolish ofcourse." he said now walking left to right and right to left gesturing all over "I should have known, I mean I couldn't even contol my body when my mind talked..." he than looked at Nicole "There is more for you to know. I'm your Watcher" he said finaly stoping infront of her a few steps away

Nicole stood there puzzled and slightly annoyed that he didn't heed her warnings, expecially since he was her watcher and knew that. "So you had to have sex with her to figure she was completely evil??" She snapped. She put her bookbag down on one of the tables and stared at him, waiting for an answer.

Raphael thought a bit on her words "Not really... it's not easy to explain." he looked at Nicole "She tricked me in order to get to you and make you hate me. Which I actualy understand you would." he concluded there was nothing he could do it was in Nicole's hands,

"She tricked you? I can believe that." She said in a slight amused voice. "So what is a watcher exactly?" She asked curiously. She wasn't going to put that against him since Abby was evil and minipulative. Plus, he had saved her life. She yawned and rubbed her eyes to keep her awake. She winced slightly as the cut on her face stretched, sending pain through her.

Raphael started walking right and left "A Watcher is like a Slayer's teatcher and guide. Watchers normaly have great knowlage of all demons an types of magic they also help the Sayer to desenvolve her abilities to the fulest:" he said in a low tone so no one else would hear them

"So you're like a coach?" She sighed and looked at Raphael. "You know I don't have much free time like most teenagers do. I have to take care of my little sister." She said softly. She sat on one of the desks and looked at Raphael.

Raphael looked siriously at Nicole "Your little sister will be fine I will help you there as well but from what I saw down in the park you have much to learn and very little time." he took a journal from his left pocket "Here read this journal, that's from my last Slayer she was as good as you are now and became even better." he stretched the book to her to get

Nicole extended her hand and took the journal. "Who was your last Slayer? And what happened to her?" She asked curiously. She knew without his help she would be dead sooner than she could imagine, but only if he was a good Watcher. "How many slayers are there?"

Raphael smiled "Many questions I see... There is only one slayer, if one is killed the council sumons another one. That Slayer was Rita Strider she lived in Europe...." he sarted "She was killed by a very evil vampire long time ago and became one of them.... Her lost was a great pain for me and I had to kill her with a dagger before she culd harm anyone."

Nicole frowned and looked from the book to Raphael. "So I could die at any second?" She asked sadly. She wasn't sure she wanted to be a slayer anymore. She just wanted to be a normal girl with her sister along side her. She would deal with her sister's abilities not that and vampires.
