Chandler took his green eyes and scanned the area. At the very moment, he was stuck on the roof of his 'assignment' in the middle of the night. This was the worst time of the twenty four hour day. The night, so many different things could happen. A lot of the creatures you really had to keep an eye out for were the ones that were that liked to roam in the night. Vampires couldn't even come into the sunlight, werewolves liked to have the moon at their side, and demons hated the sunlight. So those creatures specifically came to do their buisness at night. Not to mention that it was when most crimes were commited. Both in the human and supernatural world. Chandler had heard from others that they had to save their human when robbers came into the house in the middle of the night. It was just an easier time to do it. The darkness helped stealth, and the lack of population was another plus to do everything at night. So this is when poor Chandler was barely blinking and looking around, expecting something to pop out up out of no where at any given time.
Every once in a while, he would see a car drive by, and follow it with hungry eyes, but it was just a car that was returning late. Then sometimes he would spot someone walking down the street, and he would have to watch them like a hawk spotting its prey as well. Chandler was slightly paranoid about someone coming in. He had an assigment very long ago, and failed. Thats why now he was always spotting on the go. Chandler wasn't always on this high alert mode, however. Believe it or not, he did smile quite often of humourous comments made by himself or a stranger. He was often complimented on the smile that was splashed across his face whenever that happened. His smile was one of the hollywood ones, with straight white teeth all formed in a perfect form. And he was a bit of a teaser when he was actually talking to someone. Almost playful in a manner.
But not now. It was high alert time. He was laying across the roof, as to blend in with the shadows and still have a good view of what was going on. Ahead of him, he saw a figure starting to walk toward the street. But something about it caught his eye and he watched it, making sure it was going to contiune to just walk off like it was suppose to.
