Chris entered the bar and looked around slowly, noting that there weren't quite as many people on this night as there normally were. Worked for him. He made his way up to the bar, sitting at he end so that he could lean against the wall and watch anyone coming in. Call him paranoid, but he liked knowing who was walking in and where they were headed. A waitress came up to him and he ordered a shot of whiskey and a beer.
She handed over the shot quickly, smiling as he downed it quickly, and he raised an eyebrow as she reached across and refilled it, "that ones on the house."
"Thanks darlin'," Chris drawled, giving her a wink and taking the other shot. He let this one sit on his tongue for a few seconds and swallowed, enjoying the feeling as it burned it's way down his way throat. The beer came next Chris propped his feet up on the bench next to him, watching people around him. After an hour, the bar was fuller than it had been when he walked in, and he was on his third beer, feeling rather well.
