Ewan stood off to the side and tried to ignore Hunter's harsh comments. Hunter of course didnt back down because he thought he was right about everything. "Fine, you think you can handle a whole town of dark creatures and some idiotic, love sick teenage boy? Take him and let me leave in peace. As long as I can leave. So long!" he said, fuming with anger.
Ewan had had enough of Hunter's bullsh*t. He stomped over to him and hit him hard in the jaw. Hunter was too shocked and surprised to even fight back or block. He flew into a dock shed 20 feet away.

Kris had to hold in her laugh as she watched Hunter get what was coming to him. She walked over to the shed and croutched down by Hunter. "If you haven't forgotten, you used to be that love sick teenage boy. Drooling all over Ellie, then Emma. Do you really think that going away from here will make it all go away? It won't. The guilt, the sorrow, the pain, it will follow you around the rest of your godforesaken life. Don't shove your problems in our face. It's not our fault, none of it is."
She stood up, still looking down at Hunter, a discusted look on her face. "I was going to let you talk to her, to Emma, but I'm not so sure anymore. She'd probably be just as discusted with you as we all are."

Ewan's eyes widened and he shook his head back and forth frantically. "You shouldnt have said that. You should've just let him leave," he hissed. Hunter got up, rubbed his jaw and threw a punch at Ewan. He blocked it and hit hunter again. "Forget you. Im staying here and im gonna do what you couldnt," he said, leaving Hunter on the ground. Ewan marched off towards the forest. Hunter finally sat up and looked a Kris with a confused expression. "Can I talk to em?"

"Why the hell should I let you? To you I just spread lies and think only of myself," She snapped. Until Hunter apologized to her and actually ment it, she thought he didn't deserve to have a chance to talk with Emma or Ellie. "Why should I break the rules and possibly get hurt when all he does is bitch at me?" She thought. She crossed her arms and looked at him, she would go after Ewan in a little bit.

Hunter let out a loud sigh and surrendered. "Alright im sorry. I dont really think you spread lies, but you have to understand how I feel about death. Death, in general, took the two people I cared about. Now, im left here all alone with a kid who is on the same path I was. I want to leave before I get attached. Then when he loses everything like I did, I wont feel so guilty. Im harsh with him because I dont want him to think of me as a friend. I dont want him to get attached. You understand right? Im sorry for the way ive treated you, but I need him to stay in sleepy hollow, atleast until I leave. Plus, you seem to be keeping a good watch on him." Hunter looked over the docks at the peaceful water and frowned.

"When you think about it, wouldn't it be better for death to have taken them? They were slayers, Hunter. If they stayed alive it would've just ment a life of pain and torture, both physically and emotionally. If you want I will let you speak with one of them, but only one. I'll be in enough trouble with one. And you will have fifteen minutes with them only." She instructed. She couldn't understand why she was being so generous when surely it would mean pain for her later on, but she felt sorry for Hunter.

"I...I dont think im ready for it now. Can I have some time to think? I have to figure out what to say and...be prepared. 15 minutes isnt very long. I dont want to waste time." Hunter got up and smiled. He wanted to hug her but didnt know if she was a huggy person. "Oh and thank you. I should go apologize to Ewan too. Id feel terrible if something happened to him after I had just insulted him."
Ewan wandered the woods, sometimes knocking over trees, fuming with anger. He finally stopped in a small clearing, crossed his arms and leaned his back against a nearby tree.

"Sure, just find me when you're ready. Which ever one you want to talk to I can get. But yeah, you should go apologize. And remember, it's better to have loved and lost then to have never loved at all. Just because you've lost people you've cared deeply about doesn't mean that you should shut yourself off from everyone else. You should be happy, not a miserable hermit. Help Ewan, be his friend, he could use it. Otherwise, he's going to do something stupid." Kris smiled weakly and turned to walk away.
