"No, I havent met her but I hear she's young. I have to go to high school which sucks, but maybe ill see her. She seems kinda busy though. Slayer is a 24/7 job right? Oh and she wont be dead because ill be protecting her. Hunter knows what hes doing. Im positive that I can do this job. I may be young, but I know I can do this." Ewan hoped he could convince Kris that he was the right choice for the new hybrid protector.

"don't worry im not due to eat for a while" she grinned at Kris then looked at Ewan. "Im pretty sure some slayers were killed while Hunter was protecting them" Teagan said, shivering a little, she looked around "storms coming and its going to be a nasty one" Teagan mumbled looking up at the sky, her nostrils flared as she smelt the air, picking up scents. Teagan yawned then. checking ehr watch, her hair falling into her face which made her push it back again, she felt a drop of rain hit her hand and looked at it "and i think its here"

"Neat! I love storms. But that means more creatures out tonight. They just love catching those innocent humans while they look at the ground under their umbrellas." Kris stated. She didn't believe a word Ewan said, or at least most of it. "There were two deaths if I do believe correctly. You slip and she dies, then you have the guilt on you forever. It's better to go away and know that they died because they were ment to. Really. Ask Hunter about the two slayers that he let die."

Ewan frowned and took a defensive stance. "Im sure he didnt just let them die. Im sure he tried to the best he could. He was probably a beginner without experience. Hunter wont leave me here unprepared. Stop putting him down! He saved my life! He helped me to understand and control what I am! Once I find this slayer, I wont leave her side."
Just then Hunter appeared, a bit winded. "Ewan, I think we should go. Your training isnt complete." Hunter was throwing angry glances at the three. "You were suppose to wait in the forest" he said in a low voice. Ewan took a deep breath, bowed his head and stepped behind Hunter. Hunter gave a small nod to Kris and Teagan. "Im sorry im taking your guest away, but once again, theres so much to do, so little time." Ewan could tell that he was in for a very long scolding and lecture.

"kill Joy!" Teagan snapped at Hunter before grinning innocently "Well if your taking wolf boy here away ima go find dinner, im starved, dont be worried if you come across me, i might try and chew your leg but im no harm really" she said it sarcastically "and i wont eat infront of Kris cause thats jsut mean" she winked and sauntered off a little to the forest.

"Lighten up Hunter, give the kid a break. All I ever see you do is train that kid. There is no rush, no reason why you have to leave here so badly. There is nothing for you outside of this town. She's gone, and that's probably the only reason you want to leave. The memories that linger here probably tear at you." She shrugged and stood up. "But seriously, go easy on Ewan. He's not the only one fighting here."

Hunter glared at Kris and gave Ewan a small nod in the direction of the forest. Ewan obediently ran off into the trees and waited for his master. Hunter on the other hand, stayed, ready for a long argument if needed. "Why are you fighting so hard about this? Why dont you trust in my apprentice? He's going to do fine. He'll do his job and help the slayer protect sleepy hollow whether she wants him to or not. Slayers have been dropping like flies. They need help. Im retiring, Ewans going to take my place and thats that. Id also appreciate it if you'd stop filling his head with lies. Thank you very much."

"You know as well I as do, Hunter, that they aren't lies. I'm trying to spare his life, something you don't seem to want to do. You almost died countless of times, and you're a hybrid. Remember the silver pole that got shoved through your chest years ago? If that happened to Ewan he'd be gone. He can't win against all the dark creatures in this town and you know it." She paused, not really wanting to give out information about Alex.
"The other slayers that you have saved were older, by at least four years. Emma and Ellie were skilled and had some common sense. The new slayer is fifteen! She's got boys and looking cute on her mind more then slaying! She has no common sense! She's going to do something stupid and Ewan's going to get killed trying to save her. You keep at this and you're going to have Ewan's death on your hands."

"He wont be killed! SO stop telling me that. Stop telling him that. He's nervous enough as it is. He'll do fine and I promise I wont leave until he's absolutely ready. You mind your own business and stick to cleaning up the dead bodies." Hunter wanted to tell her so much more, but kept his mouth shut. That is until some slipped up. "I think its about time that I get a break. Ewan can do the same whenever he wants to. Of course, then sleepy hollow would be in even bigger trouble. He wants to do this. If he didnt, he would've said no."

Kris laughed harshly. "HA! You think he'd actually say something if he didn't want to do this? No person in their right mind would want to do this! You forced him into thinking he didn't have a choice. He does! He's going to keep his mouth shut because if not he'll feel like he's letting you and every innocent person down. What you have to learn is that you nor Ewan can escape fate. Those people that he will be saving are suppose to die and will die whether he saves them from a monster or not. He was not chosen for this job and all he's doing is giving those people a chance to die a more painful death!" She knew what she was talking about. She had lived through that.
"When I was alive I was just a normal twenty one year old girl. I could finally drink legally. It was amazing. Then one night I was waking home from work at night. I was crossing the street when a car came speeding at me. A man pushed me out of the way in time, saving my life. The next day, I was stabbed to death by my boyfriend for flushing his weed down the toilet. If I would have been hit by that car I would've died instantly, that's how fast it was going. Instead I bled to death for hours. You want to put that on someone else then go ahead, but I warned you."

"Enough! I wont listen to this any longer. People can be saved, you just make it harder to save them. You feel cheated when you dont get poor souls. Now if you really REALLY object, then why dont you talk to the 'brainwashed' kid all by yourself!" he roared. Hunter turned without another word and rushed off into the forest to meet up with Ewan. It wasnt safe to keep him waiting alone in the forest of sleepy hollow. Little did Hunter know, Ewan wanted to talk about his options with Kris.

What Hunter had accused Kris of mad her angry. She didn't think like that, she actually wanted people to live. To grow old the way she couldn't. Hunter had just assumed that since she was Death, she liked to take souls away. She wasn't going to mention the fact that one could live without their soul, she took the spirit away which was what made the person live. It was a good thing for Hunter that he had run off afterwards because Kris was ready to kill him herself.
