For once, Ewan had some alone time. Hunter had been called away on 'business' but promised to return as quickly as possible. He'd told Ewan to stay in the forest, but after a few hours of wandering the woods, he got a little bored. He decided to explore Sleepy Hollow, the place he'd have to swear to protect for who knows how many years. There were a few humans near the docks, but not many. THey all had guns. 'Filled with silver, im sure' he thought to himself. Ewan smiled politely at them and walked on by. He eventually found a secluded spot and sat down, dangling his feet over the edge of the docks. "Why me? Why do I have to do this?" he mumbled.

you don't have to do this Teagans voice echoed into his head, a fox sat next to him, washing its paws, Teagans dark eyes stared at him from the small creatures body you could jsut....quit Teagan was being polite, not intending a fight, she was afterall just out getting some exercise, she looked at him curiously, her fluffy red and white tail curled round ehr legs as she watched him why are you on your own anyway?

"You don't have to do anything," A voice came from behind Ewan. Kris was sitting up on a small building, her feet dangling off of the edge. She leaped down, landing on her feet, and walked over to Ewan. "Besides you have it easy." She added. His 'job' wasn't easy persay but he could step out any time he wanted. She was stuck in her job, as well as the slayer. They were really the only two who couldn't back out if they wanted to. It was a life sentence.

Ewan was a bit shocked when a fox answered his question for him. "Its more complicated than tha--" then Kris came hopping down from a small building rooftop and answered the same question. "Look, both of you, I cant quit and I certainly do not have it easy! Its not like picked to be this! I have to help the slayer. Obviously, past slayers couldnt do the job alone. Hunter says that this town needs all the help it can get and already I believe him. I shouldnt be explaining this, its quite easy to understand." Ewan stared off into the water and smiled. The water was always so calm.....unless you were in a storm. Sleepy Hollow may be a hell hole, but atleast the water stays calm and peaceful.

Teagan rolled ehr dark eyes and opened her fox like mouth "he slayer is born to fight alone, its all about the slayer the whole time, does this place not talk of something else sheesh" her voice had a soft yip and growl to it but what can you expect? she's a fox, the creature shifted to look in the water "i don't think any of us chose to be what we are but here we all are, in this town were apparently evil congregates" she laughed, it came out as a loud yip and then she let her tongue loll from her mouth, her red and white ears twitching gently.

"I have to agree with the fox. The slayer fights alone. You have a choice whether you want to help her or not. You're a werewolf, not a watcher. If the slayer is strong enough she survives, if not another one will come take her place. It's not up to you to save this town. And you do have it easy. Your 'master' or whatever you want to call Hunter, is nice. Try having to serve the devil himself, what a pain in the ass he is. I would trade anyday," She said, smiling. She was surprised by how much Hunter had brainwashed Ewan into thinking he had to save the whole town. It was ridiculous and funny at the same time.

Ewan shook his head. "Ok fine, I dont have to but at the same time, I do. Its....hard to explain what I mean. Hunter is leaving someone behind for a reason. I guess he fell in love with one, or something." Ewan watched the fox curiously and smiled at its yelping. "So I feel...obligated to do this. Hunter still has some work to do here, but as soon as he trains me, he says he's leaving for good. I guess I have some special blood type and thats why he wants me to stay."

Teagan grew tired of being a fox "'scuse me a moment" she said dashing off somewher dark, she changed back to her normal self and brushed dust from her black jeans and pale blue t-shirt, she stepped out from behind the crates she'd hidden in and looked at them, pushing ehr hair out of her face now, an annoying trait she had, she made her way back over and sat beside Ewan, dangling her legs over the side "as i said before, special blood type? why would that have anything to do with training you to take his place? as i see it, and im not aiming to offend here, that hunter guy seems pretty weak, maybe he's scared that the new girl will die? but really its not your problem, you shouldnt have to deal with it wouldnt you agree?" she wasn't looking at them, her eyes were fixed on the horizon, she swung her legs some and waited for their answers.

"A werewolf falling in love with a slayer? Now that's a new one. Probably met her too, but anyway, listen to her. If I were you I would tell Hunter to find someone else. You have no idea what you're getting yourself into. There's nothing but pain and death if you decide to go in Hunter's footsteps. Trust me. I've been called here so many times that I was told to just stay here and collect the dead bodies, well spirits.

"Hunter isnt just a werewolf you know. I am. But he's something much more powerful. Or...he use to be powerful. To answer your question about the blood type, he said that I have a special blood type that are found in hybrids or something. I dont know what he meant. Im just a werewolf. Oh well. Most of what Hunter says is cryptic and confusing. He always says 'one day, you'll understand'" he said, imitating Hunter. "Im sorry, but I cant give up. I know this is going to be hard, but theres no where else to go anyway. This town is for things like me."

"Whats wrong with Hybrid blood?" Teagan sniffed, rolling her eyes, she stood "you sir are foolish, if i could, I'd be out of this town quicker then anything" she smirked then, falling silent, listening, then shaking her head "so this hunter guy says you have to take his place because you have some special blood type? you ever think he just cant be bothered looking? you know? what do you think?" she turned to Kris then "you think Hunter just settled for the first one he found?"

"Deffinately. He's a nice guy but seriously, retireing when he's that young? He's clearly looking for a way out and you're his ticket. You even said it yourself that he wants to get out of here once you take over. All that responsibility and risk for a kid your age? It's stupid. If you stay and fight, you're going to die quicker then the rest of your lot. If you've noticed that there are hardly any werewolves here, they've gone. You should too." Kris wasn't being very optimistic but she was death and therefore had seen a lot of the destruction that Sleepy Hollow had brought.

'Maybe they're right....No! Hunter told you not to trust anyone! This is exactly why.' Ewan stood up and put on his jacket. The air was becoming cool and dark clouds were coming overhead. A midnight storm, how lovely. "Look, thanks for your concern, but im not changing my mind. Your just gonna have to deal with me. I know you'd rather have a weak hybrid than a newly trained werewolf. Im sure ill be fine."

"Oh i'm sure you'll eb fine, jsut uh, don't piss me off when im hungry kay? good" she folded ehr bare arms over her stomach and looked at him "oh uh Hunters not wea but the stories i've heard from Laurell...." she giggled and then retrieved her calmness "lets just say I've heard quite a few" sje heard her stomach grumble and sighed "why am i always hungry" she grumbled to herself, resting ehr hand on it, her eyes shot up and looked around, always alert, she licked her lips to moisten them, her teeth showing a little, she stretched and wondered what was gonna havppen next.

"Please don't eat infront of me, it's discusting." Kris asked Teagan nicely. She turned to Ewan and rolled her eyes. Men were so annoying. "I never said Hunter was weak. I've seen him over the years and he's one of the strongest people I've seen, you have to be strong to have survived that long, but really. He's pushing something on you that doesn't have to be. If you do this you're dead. Have you seen the new slayer yet? I'll be surprised if she isn't dead in a week."
