Kris laughed. "You would have to stop eating garlic though. Think you could give that up for immortality?" She asked, joking. She was certain that if John had come face to face with a real vampire he would run away, afraid. Nobody would want to be condemned to a life of murder and blood lust.

John pondered on her statement "Well I think I wouldn't but then again aren't vampires supposed to be demons that enter a human vessel and as doing that killing the humans soul? If that is true then when a person becomes a vampire the person is no longer the same loosing the taste and things they liked. Probably the memory remains but not the desire." he concluded

"You know, to some that may be a bit creepy," Kris concluded. She smiled at John, showing him that at least she wasn't one of those people. Her eyes glanced over at the television, she had forgotten it was still on. The show had ended and the news was on. Four people had been killed in the span of two days. Kris already knew that of course, she had to go collect their spirits. It had been the work of vampires, she could tell as soon as she had saw the bodies.

John smiled back then turned his head back to the TV "More killings...." he sighed listening to the reporter giving the information about the deaths "And, like all the others no one can find a reason why. People don't drop dead for no reason." John finished his sandwich his mind racing on the killings again but after a while he turned to Hris with a smile and said "Want to see something really cool?"

Kris looked away from the news report and nodded at John, a smile on her face. "Sure," she said curiously. Her mind was reeling with what he would want to show her, not having a clue as to what. Of course she never had much experience being around humans of this generation, especially the guys, so her guess would most likely be way off.

John got up and walked to the hallway and up the stairs, after a few steps he stopped in front of a door which he unlocked with a key he had on a chain around his neck. He opened the door and went inside waiting for Kris. Inside it the walls were filled with daggers and swords, some with a really old look to them, on the center a black steal box behind a cage of bullet prove glass. Each item in the room was perfectly illuminated so the details were visible "This is my favorite room and the only one furnished." he smiled

Kris walked in and raised an eyebrow. It was unlike any room she had ever seen. "Woah, why do you keep all of these? It's a serial killers dream room!" She said a little edgy. She didn't know this guy very well and even though she couldn't die, having one of those daggers through her would hurt a lot.

John smiled "Like it? I collect them swords and daggers. Most of them wouldn't even cut butter." he laughed "That one in the middle though is one that I found long ago, it's a very strange dagger seems to have a sort of glow or at least I think:..." he said moving closer to the center of the room "See the symbols? I think they mean something but I never found out what." the dagger inside the steal box was wavy with some engravings and it's handle had a dragon face with a ruby on it's mouth.

"It's awesome, but I might advise to not show other girls this in the future. They might be a little freaked," She laughed at the thought. Her fear had vanished. "Why do you collect daggers? You won't use them, will you?" She asked. She had never heard of people collecting things they would never use. She grew up in the middle class so she knew what it felt like to have stuff not needed but she never saw someone collecting things.

John laughed "Well I showed it to you because you were interested in vampires and such so I thought you would like to see this." he said honestly, he had showed his collection to few people "No I will not use them, I just like looking at them, they're pretty neat" he smiled

"Do you know how to throw knives?" Kris asked, interested in his answer. She had seen a couple of these since she had died, some of the ones John had were clearly copies off of the original ones, but she didn't say anything in case it made him upset. She loved knives, she became obsessed with them ever since her boyfriend stabbed her to death.

John laughed "No I don't know how to throw a knife." he stated as he looked around the room proudly

"Do you want to learn? My dad taught me how when I was young. It's a lot of fun, and very useful," She lied. The useful part was true, but she wouldn't say why it was useful. Plus, her dad didn't teach her, her dad was never around, always at work. She taught herself how to throw knives after she died.

John looked at her as though her offer was a very strange one, that was probably because he thought it was "Well I can't see how it can be useful for me..." he smiled a little "But sure why not I'm always open to learn new stuff."

"Well, what if you go hiking, get lost, and need a source of food?" She grinned, knowing full well that would never happen. "I have a couple of knives that I've collected, they could probably cut your head off," She snickered, hoping that she didn't scare John. She actually liked hanging out with him, it was odd for her to like a human. Usually they were annoying.
