Ewan smiled in triumph and picked her up gently, treating her like the fragile little flower she was. The hybrid thing definetly gave him more skill. He moved down the hall, step by step, making sure that Alex was comfortable and safe in his arms. The doctors were coming in at all sides, but Ewan simply shooed them off. "I can take care of her," he said, with such a persuasive tone, thats the doctors just left. He was liking this hybrid thing. Skills of werewolves and vampires combined. Sa-weet. Once she was down on the bed and tucked in, he locked the door and set the tubes and wires back up. "These intruments are saving your life, alright? So keep them in silly girl!" He sat down next to her bed , lowered his lips to hers and kissed her passionately. He ended the kiss with perfect timing, just enough for her to hold her breath. He sat back in his seat and looked at his Juliet, with a worry filled face. "Are you alright? Really? I mean, I saw you out on the field and you took big beating. Of course, you kicked their asses straight back to hell," he said chuckling.

"I didn't do anything. I couldn't even kill the vampire. But I'll be fine," Her voice was filled with sadness. She felt worthless. In her eyes she wasn't a good slayer, she couldn't even kill one vamp. Yeah Laurell was strong and cunning but she could've kill her. The steak was so close. If it wasn't for the other injuries she wouldn't have mis aimed.

"Dont worry. You'll get better at it. We can train together. But you, missy, are taking a few days off after you get outta here. I dont care what Hunter says. You need to rest and relax a little. Then, after a few days, we can train 24/7. Together of course. We are a team, correct?"
Ewan smiled sweetly and stroked her hair. "I guess I should leave. Ill just keep you up all night, and you need your sleep."

"No!" Alex sat up and winced, that wasn't the smartest move. She bit her lip and slowly laid back down on the bed, her hand gripping onto Ewan's arm. "Please don't leave," she said softly. She wasn't going to say that part of the reason she wanted Ewan to stay was to make sure he didn't go back to Laurell. For some reason she had a hard time believing that he would stay with her. She tried to tell herself that he wouldn't abandon her but it wasn't sinking in.

Ewan chuckled and continued to stroke her hair. "Alright, fine. Ill stay. But you have to promise me that you'll go to sleep at some point. I will stay all night. If I leave, it'll only be to go down the hallway and get some food." Ewan was a little surprised by the way she was acting. Usually she was hard to read and always had her guard up. Now, she looked weak, and vulnerable. It kinda made Ewan feel good. He could protect and comfort her. He could be her hero. "Do you want anything?"

Alex shook her head, a little embarrassed by her reaction. "I'm fine, and I'll go to sleep at some point." She was cautious to say some point so she could have free will to stay up and talk to Ewan. Surprisingly, she didn't have a problem with Ewan being a hybrid, having some vampire in him. She figured that he still had a soul, which was the biggest thing in her mind. The soul was what determined someone's actions. To her Laurell was evil, she didn't have a soul, but Ewan had one and could still make the choice of right and wrong.

"Good," he mumbled, eyeing her carefully. "Do you umm, wanna talk about anything, or are we just gonna stare at each other? OH! I do have something to ask you. If weather permits, and the creatures of sleep town arent getting into trouble, I was wondering if next weekend you wanted to go to the beach with me? Its so gloomy here and I think that the trip'll do us some good. Theres a wonderful spot like 50 miles away. Its far, but worth it I think." Ewan really just wanted to spend more time with Alex after school hours. Guys were always looking at her, talking about her and thinking about how they were gonna ask her out. It was quite annoying.

The question took Alex by surprise. She hardly ever went to the beach back home with her mother, and here it just seemed odd. She had been so preoccupied with fighting demons and vampires that she never thought that she could do something normal. Now she had a chance; a chance to be with someone she cared about doing something normal. "Sure, I'd love to go," she said as a smiled spread across her lips.

Laurell silently slid the window open, wincing slightly as the wound in her chest pulled, but at least her temperature was dropping and it had stopped weeping. She stuck her head through the window and saw that they were emerging into a darkened hospital corridor. She looked over her shoulder and put her fingers to her lips at Teagan “Shhh we don’t wanna wake any innocents now do we, but giss us a push hun I’m stuck.” she giggled softly before slipping the rest of the way into the corridor. She felt slightly drunk and wondered how much alcohol and drugs the guy in the park had had in his system before he made a tasty snack. Trying to stifle her giggles she swung round and started to pull Teagan through the window after her, Laurell couldn’t help it, a loud giggling laugh left her lips and she clamped a hand over her mouth to try to stop it but that just made her worse “hahaha” she laughed.

Teagan rolled her eyes and climbed through the window, she dusted her shirt down and grunted at Laurell "calm down" she snapped still feeling rather ill from the meal she'd had at the big fight, she sighed and pushed her hair out of face. "lets get going and get you sorted i want to go home and back to sleep" she looked round and put a hand over laurells mouth "if you want us tog et caught carry on giggling but then that means you dont get that pain in your shoulder sorted mmkay Laur?"

Ewan's entire face lit up and his smile grew. "Alright. Thats great. Next weekend then. It'll be a nice change. Im getting so depressed in this town. I probably would've killed myself by now if it wasnt for you." Ewan's body stiffened and he quickly sniffed the air. He leaned forward, kissed her forehead and walked towards the door. "Ive got to take care of something. I wont leave the hospital. Promise. Try to sleep. Ill be back in a few minutes..." he said softly. Before he could get her answer, he'd opened the door and peaked his head around the corner. Low and behold, who did he see? He growled under his breath, backed up into the room and shut the door. "Nevermind. Its better if I stay with you," he said, sitting down in his original spot. He held her hand in his and gently kissed it.

Alex stiffened as she heard the giggle. Her hearing was better then humans, otherwise she wouldn't have been able to hear it. "She's here." It wasn't a question, but a statement made through gritted teeth. She wanted to rip at Laurell. Anger rose inside of Alex, boiling to get out. "She better watch it. If she touches a hair on anyone's head I swear..." She didn't need to finish her sentence, her face showed it all.

Laurell tried to stop her giggles and act serious for Teagans sake but she was finding it hard to concentrate on anything, her blood tingled with the effects of her last meal and it was a very pleasent feeling indeed. Teagan's gruff attitude towards getting her wound fixed made Laurell want to laugh again but she firced herself to remain clam, although the side of her mouth twitched every now and then "O....k Teag now where would they keep the *hic* dressings and stuff, she asked as she held onto the wall for support. she looked behind her before deciding to walk straight towards a door she had seen open and close not a second before. "Maybe itsssssss *hic* this way" she slurred as she stumbled towards the door. "Hey teag!" she said just a little bit to loud and automatically placed a finger on her own lips shhing herself before continuing. "maybe we can find you sommat to settle your stomach"

Teagan growled, feeling rahter annoyed "no Laur its this way" she walked to her and grabbed ehr hand, pausing to sniffe the air, she growled "slayer, and ewan, they are here, lets go" she pulled laurell in the direction of the medical cupboards and pushed her in, going to a shelf with dressings on it., she got some anticeptic lotion and the dressings then sat laurell in a chair "sober up before somone sees us Laur" she said moving her shirt out of the way and putting the lotion on it

"She wont Alex. She's here for medical supplies. I guess that wound you gave her wont heal right. You may have missed her heart, but you sure left some damage." Ewan tried to hold his breath for long periods of time so he wouldnt have to smell the two vampires. It bothered him just a little bit that they had just broken into a hospital and causing trouble. He knew that they would cause trouble because Laurell sounded completely plastered. Drunk to the core. "Alex, you can either talk to me or shut your eyes. Your choice, but I dont want you getting upset about the vamp and CAT GIRL being here, alright?"
