Hunter hadn't been in Sleepy Hollow for years because of....complications. Unfortunatly, not even time could erase the terrible memories. Returning to the doomed town, Hunter found an injured young man, attacked by a werewolf. 'Of course', he'd thought, 'the attacks have already begun.'
Ewan had become Hunter's 'apprentice.' When Hunter's time had finally come, Ewan would take his place and protect sleepy hollow. Ewan seemed....thrilled, or so he made it look. He looked up to Hunter and thanked him nonstop for saving his life and explaining his condition.
So, they sat on a park bench, watching the happy little children at play. Didnt they know what lurked in the shadows? What waited for them to wander into an alley, alone.....
"You'll have to protect them, you know that? All of them. THe innocents of Sleepy Hollow. It wont be easy, but its innevitable. The only one you can trust is the slayer. Who that is now, I dont know." Ewan listened intently and nodded. "I wont let you down. I promise."

Laurell sat in the shadows of the trees, her body held high above the ground by the strudy branch she was perched on. She scanned the crowd below her. It had been a while since she had set foot in sleepy hollow and a lot had changed.... Including her. Self-conciously she lowered her head letting her hair hang over her eyes as she watched the children as their mothers... their over protective mothers... gathered them up ready to leave the park. Twilight was looming and with it a chill breaze rippled the leaves of the trees around her. She was just about to slink away when she overheard to voices, Male, one she recognised from her past. Slowly and gently trying not to make a sound she slid herself further back onto the branch and out of sight.

A large Snow Leopard lolled on a branch above the girl underneath, it creaked gently, making her ears twitch, she heard speaking below her, Teagans black eyes fixed on the two males, she tilted her head, the collar round her neck jingling gently as she moved.
Teagan stretched and flicked her tail, the branch creaked again, her stomach grumbled, she was hungry, she growled at herself, she was always hungry, no matter how much she ate. A soft sigh left the leopards lips as she made her way to climb down the tree, her claws shooting from her paws to grip the bark, how no one had noticed her up there was a mystery to her but she let the thought go over her head as she climbed down, when she hit the ground she landed in front of the girl, Teagans dark eyes watched her curiously.

Ewan was the first to notice another presence. He nudged Hunter and looked cautiously into the trees. It was twilight and the mothers and children were gone, locked up tightly in their homes. Hunter smirked and gave Ewan the 'dont worry about it' look. Ewan kept his eyes in the forest and could make out two figures. One was a young woman and the other was a....leopard? 'Odd' he thought to himself. Hunter went on to explain the responsibilities of a hybrid protector. Ewan was only half listening, too intrigued by the guests. Finally, Hunter spoke up about them. "I knew the girl. Shes trouble. Dont get involved. Everyone here is. Dont forget that. Trust no one but the slayer." Hunter glanced into the forest and stared at the hidden guests. "The other, I am not familiar with. Be careful around here Ewan. These monsters wouldnt mind ripping you to pieces. Maybe not our...guests here, but Sleepy Hollow is full of cruel creatures."

Laurell grinned at the leopard as it landed at her feet, "wondered when you would show up" she breathed her voice as soft as the wind. She looked up as the two guys spoke again and parted the leaves so she could watch them closer. "Hunter" she growled a small wicked smile on her lips, memories from her past flashed before her eyes... ones of blood and pain, a glint of silver as a blade flashed down. Laurell sighed 'those were the good ole days' she mumbled as she watched the two guys intently.

Teagan rolled her black eyes and nudged laurells knee, speaking telepathically to her who are they? her eyes were fixed on the two now as well, she flicked ehr tail in irritation as her stomach grumbled loudly again when are we eating? I'm starving the leopards form shifted slightly but rememained a snow leopard, she shifted again hey can we eat them? the third question came from ehr in a kind of rush.

Hunter got up slowly, and Ewan followed. They moved silently to the edge of the forest. Hunter didnt think there was going to be a fight, but he wanted Ewan to get some experience interacting with the creatures. Following their strong scent, he eventually came upon them, or as close as he'd get and told Ewan not to go any further. "Come out now. Dont be shy, and dont try anything.....foolish." Ewan waited anxiously for the two to come out of the darkness.

Laurell flicked her eyes at Teagan and grinned 'we will eat soon i promise' she whispered to her before flicking her eyes back to where Hunter and the other guy where slowly approaching "But not these two... they might be a bit bitter..." she said slightly louder a slow smile on her lips. "Well Well Well!" she stated as she slowly sauntered out from the trees "Look who we have here then Teag... the one and only Hunter... and hes brought a little friend for us to play with." she breathed her voice sultry. her eyes flashed as she smiled at Teagan before turning to the guys " Hello again Hunter..."

Teagan followed her, her tail flicking bakc and forth behind her, she rubbed around Laurells legs affectionately, then sat and watched, curling ehr tail around her body old friends? she asked her companion, her dark eyes blinking up from her white, spotted face.

Hunter returned the smile and gave a small wave. "Hello Laurell. Long time no see. This is my friend Ewan. Who is this?" he asked, looking at the snow leopard at Laurell's feet. Ewan watched the two carefully. He didnt like the way she was looking at Hunter. "Be careful" he muttered to his teacher. Hunter nodded and waited patiently. He was smiling, but ready to attack at any moment. "You see Ewan, you learn to never let your guard down.....even for pretty faces."

Laurell smiled widely at Hunter as he spoke.. "awww look Teag he still thinks im pretty" she giggled as she wandered closer. "This here is teagan, a very good friend of mine." she pointed at the leopard as she spoke a sly grin stretching the corners of her mouth. Laurell spun her eyes on the young guy beside Hunter and smiled seductivly as she drew ever closer, her tongue snaking out to lick delicatly at her lips. "So have you missed me Hunter?" she asked sweetly as her hand lifted nonchalently into the air, she pointed a finger delicately and slowly drew the nail down hunters cheeks, softly carressing the skin there... the skin she had once sliced and diced at her own enjoyment, her eyes glowed softly.

Teagan growled a hello at the pair and paced behind laurell, as the vamp caressed hunters cheek with a nail, Teagan paced forward and started sniffing round the other, she looked up at him and bared her teeth, her ears twitching gently, the collar on her neck jingled as she wandered over to hunter and became familiar with his scent, her stomach growled and she whined into laurells head again.

Hunter gently pushed her hand away and growled at Teagan. "Leave him alone." Ewan stayed still and looked down at the snow leopard. He glared at Laurell and snarled loudly, a fierce sound. "He doesnt want you touching him, back off!" Hunter shook his head and tried to calm his apprentice. "She's just remembering old times. But....I have to agree. Id rather you not touch me. And you..." he said looking down at Teagan, "dont go near Ewan. He doesnt like cats very much. He doesnt like strangers either." It was true. Ewan wasnt comfortable around strangers ever since the attack.

Laurell looked over at teag "I said NO Teagan not these two" she growled softly before turning her eyes back to Hunter and Ewan "I told you they would be bitter anyway" she mumbled withdrawing her hand from Hunters cheek with a small shrug. " I wasnt gonna do anything to your precious Hunter anyway" she whispered before standing with one hand on her hip and staring insolently at them both..

Teagan sniffed loudly and ran off behind a tree, emerging a few moments later, brushing her tank top and shorts down "spoilport" she snapped at laurell, but gave her a smile "uptight arent they" she shrugged some and brushed her red hair from ehr shoulders before folding her arms "so who am i gonna get to eat round here or does this kitty have to starve?
